About Me
With a B.S. in animal science (Cornell ’22, magna cum laude), clinical veterinary experience, and a background in genetic research, I believe in the revelatory power of science that seeks to better understand our bodies and environments. At the same time, I’ve honed my skills in live radio journalism, blogging, illustration, and all manner of content creation. Writing is where my heart lies, and I am grateful to be able to pull from my robust training in life science to enrich everything I create.
But what ties it all together? For me, it’s the natural world and its inhabitants. I am deeply invested in ecological conservation, endangered species protection, and justice for all people who have been displaced from their homes—whether by the climate crisis, war, colonialism, or other catastrophes. As the child of a Vietnam war refugee, I have a keen understanding of how displacement can have a ripple effect through an individual’s life and through the lives of all generations who come after.
If any of this has resonated with you, let’s connect. No matter your background or discipline, I believe we could make something wonderful together. Contact me at isabelfrabotta@gmail.com (or click the email or LinkedIn button at the top of the page) to pitch ideas, projects, and collaborations. I’m currently located in the Palm Springs, CA area and would love to get to know you!
